At Carnage UK, our paramount concern is that all customers have a safe and enjoyable night out. To that end, included below are a number of guidelines to ensure your personal safety each and every time you go out.
Taxis and Getting to/from the Club:
- Never leave a bar/club and travel home alone. If you leave your friends, let them know where you are going and always share a cab with another person you know.
- When leaving a bar/club, only ever use a black cab. Whilst private hire cars are great for booking in advance, you may not be insured if you flag one down on the street. Either call and book in advance or use a black cab.
- DO NOT walk home on your own from a bar/club, however bad the urge to save a few quid on the taxi. It is easy to get lost and some city streets are not safe to walk around at night. Always take a cab.
- NEVER get into an unmarked car or unregistered taxi. This can be highly dangerous and potentially costly. All registered taxis display a license. Make sure your cab is legitimate!
Carnage UK always contact several approved and registered taxi companies in each city before a Carnage UK event takes place. We advise such taxi firms that an additional taxi/transport provison will be required due to the number of students attending our events. As a result of our communication with these taxi companies, we ensure that there is an adequate transport provision for you on the night of our events. Please use one of these taxis which will always be waiting for you in close proximity to any of our end venues.
- Look out for your friends and make sure they look out for you!
Alcohol Consumption:
- Drink in moderation and do not binge.
- Always alternate alcoholic drinks with soft drinks.
- Never leave a drink unattended and never drink from a drink which has been left unattended.
- If your drink looks or tastes suspect, do not drink it.
- Do not accept a drink offered by a stranger.
- When drinking from a bottle, cover the top with your thumb when it is away from your mouth.
- Do not mix alcohol with prescription or other drugs.
- Always eat before you go out.
- All of the venues that are able to offer a food provision on the night of our events will have available special discounted food for Carnage UK attendees.
- For more information on safe drinking, please search “Alcohol Awareness” on the internet.
